Lilibeth Watson

Project Manager
Institute for Health & Aging

Lilibeth Flores (Watson) is a Project Manager at the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Institute for Health & Aging at UCSF School of Nursing. She has a BA in psychology from the California State University San Marcos and is currently a master’s student at San Diego State University. Lilibeth joined UCSF as a research associate in 2015 and has held various roles within multiple research projects. Her current work includes studying programs aimed at increasing the representation of Indigenous people in the STEM field workforce and education.

Susie Welty

Academic Program Manager
Pandemic Prep & Response

Susie Welty is a Senior Advisor for Business Development in the Institute for Global Health Sciences. She supports cross-collaboration across the Institute and UCSF. She also is the project director for CDC funded Global Health Security work in Latin America and the Middle East and Recent Infection Surveillance for HIV in PEPFAR countries. She has been involved in developing surveillance systems, supporting data use, and identifying innovative solutions to address the most pressing public health problems.

Tingting Yao, PhD

Associate Professor
Institute for Health & Aging

Dr. Yao is an associate professor in the Institute for Health and Aging at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research focuses on the economic impact of cannabis use and tobacco product use including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and secondhand smoke exposure. Dr. Yao has a broad background in public health, with specific training and expertise in health economics research and secondary data analysis on economic aspects of tobacco and cannabis use.

Jarmin Yeh, PhD, MPH, MSSW

Associate Professor
Institute for Health & Aging

Jarmin Yeh, PhD, MPH, MSSW, is an Associate Professor in the Institute for Health & Aging, Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences, in the School of Nursing at UCSF. They are a sociologist, gerontologist, and age-friendly cities and health researcher. Their work broadly investigates social justice issues that impact the quality of life of community-dwelling older adults, people living with dementia, and caregivers.

Hanna Yoon

Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator
Institute for Health & Aging

Hanna is a Clinical Research Coordinator at UCSF and a graduate student at UC Irvine, where she is currently pursuing her Master’s in Nursing. Hanna’s academic journey began at UC Davis, where she earned dual degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her passion for understanding human behavior and development has driven her to specialize in healthcare research, with an emphasis on community and mental health.
