
Hanna Yoon
Hanna is a Clinical Research Coordinator at UCSF and a graduate student at UC Irvine, where she is currently pursuing her Master’s in Nursing. Hanna’s academic journey began at UC Davis, where she earned dual degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her passion for understanding human behavior and development has driven her to specialize in healthcare research, with an emphasis on community and mental health.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Hanna played a critical role in UCSF's testing efforts, particularly focused on supporting Korean American communities. This experience deepened her understanding of the healthcare disparities that marginalized groups often face, further inspiring her commitment to equity in healthcare. Now, her work centers on a research project supporting caregivers of people living with dementia (PLWDs), reflecting her dedication to improving the quality of life for patients and families affected by chronic illness.
Hanna’s combined background in developmental psychology, research, and hands-on patient care forms a unique foundation for her nursing career. She brings empathy, resilience, and a dedication to patient-centered care to every role she undertakes, aiming to bridge research and practice to bring innovative solutions to healthcare.
