Institute for Health & Aging (IHA) Growth Grant

This internal funding initiative gives each faculty applicant up to $5,000 to invest in professional, personal or research program development activities. Proposed activities should have a high likelihood of making a demonstrable positive impact on the applicant and IHA.

Application Cycle: Next cycle opens April 1 and closes April 15 with a notification of funding on April 30.

For Staff

The IHA Staff Professional Development Program (SPDP)

The SPDP is intended to recognize and assist IHA staff employees in developing skills, knowledge and other qualities that prepare them for continued growth within IHA and/or the broader University. Eligible employees can apply for a maximum of $500 per fiscal year.

Application Cycle: Open on a rolling basis. Notification will be provided if funds run out before the end of the fiscal year.

IHA Strategic Action Advisors

The IHA Strategic Action Advisors are appointed to provide timely advice on critical strategic and operational issues within the Institute. Serving a 12-month term, they support the implementation of IHA’s Strategic Plan and foster collaboration across the institute to ensure progress on key initiatives.  

Application Cycle: Self-nomination for the 2025 term closed on December 13, 2024. The cycle for 2026 will open in November of 2025.
