Kristen Kirksey is the Project Director for Innovations in Counseling and Follow-up (ICAF), which aims to develop and test interventions to improve contraceptive counseling and follow-up care in Ethiopia and Kenya. She holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Connecticut and an MPH from Tulane University. She uses qualitative and quantitative methods to advance her research, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. Her research is deeply informed by her professional experience, spanning government, clinical, and community-based programs, as well as her commitment to improving health outcomes among marginalized communities.
